Student Membership

Student Membership Details

A person may be admitted as a student member if they are undertaking training in Counselling or Psychotherapy.

Student Member:

  • A letter outlining the student’s current study program and a copy of the letter of offer into the training institution or other reasonable verification of the current study
  • A letter of application

For Full member renewals or upgrades, we require the submission of:

  • Proof of (continued) employment as a practising counsellor e.g. a letter on letterhead from an employer or a statutory declaration from you if you are self-employed (which does not need to be verified by a JP)
  • Proof of public liability and professional indemnity insurance
  • Evidence of a current supervision agreement
